Fully reconfigurable optomechanical add-drop filters

Fully reconfigurable add-drop filters (ADFs) have important applications in optical communication and information processing. Here we demonstrate a broadly tunable filter based on double-disk cavity optomechanical system, side-coupled with pair of tapered fiber waveguides. By varying the coupling rates between two waveguides, investigate dependence through (drop) efficiency rates, which agrees well theoretical results. optimizing cavity-waveguide drop 89% transmission 1.9% been achieved. Benefiting from large coefficient microcavity, tuning range 8 nm has realized, is more than one free spectral (FSR) cavity. This realized by changing air gap double disk using tip, controlled piezoelectrical nanostage, required voltage 7 V. As result, both signals can be resonant any wavelength within transparent window material, indicates that ADF fully reconfigurable.
